Build an Extension

Extension structure

Extensions live under extensions/{vendor}/{name}. Follow the extension handbook included in the source and use published APIs rather than arbitrary hooks or interceptors.

Scaffold an extension

php artisan wento:make-app acme/hello-banner --title="Hello banner"

Package your extension

Implement the manifest and plugin within the supported extension APIs, then build a package.

php artisan wento:app-pack acme/hello-banner

Install and test

In a test store, use Design → Extensions to upload, enable and verify the extension. Check permissions and all affected merchant workflows before production use.
