FAQ

Everything you want to know about WentoCart.

What is WentoCart?

WentoCart is self-hosted commerce software. It includes a storefront and an admin for catalog, checkout, orders, and customers. It is built with Laravel and React.

Is a public license published?

No. A public license and a public source repository have not been published. You install it on a server you choose. Hosting, the domain, and connected payment or shipping services can still cost money.

Do I need coding knowledge to use it?

Merchants run the shop from the admin after install. Developers and agencies use the Laravel and React application when they need to extend it.

Can I host WentoCart on my own server?

Yes. The shop runs where you install it, on the domain you point at that install.

What are the installation requirements?

PHP 8.3 or newer and MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.4+. The browser wizard is the path for the merchant package. The full list is on the download page.

Can I customize the storefront?

Yes. Themes control how the storefront looks, and extensions can add features without replacing the core.

How do I update WentoCart?

Update steps will ship with each published release. There is no release package on this site yet.

Where can I get technical support?

Use the contact form for a question about the product. Community support and a paid support offer are not published yet.

Can I contribute to the project?

Contributions open when a public repository is published. That repository is not available yet.

How do I report a bug or a security issue?

Send it through the contact form and choose Security for a vulnerability. Include how to reproduce it. A separate disclosure policy will be published with the public release.
